Be kind to the artists tomorrow! Sure, there are always a few who suffered for their work so now it’s your turn, but by & large they’re just talented dedicated weirdos who got up superearly & did a huge amount of physical labor before the first Very Good Dog put paws to pavement at opening time.

pretty sure my alarm clock broke open the multiverse yesterday morning. I unplugged it & plugged it back in and it acted like nothing had ever happened, but this has been a strange week and it’s only Tuesday so
A Phillips sunrise alarm clock, which is round. The top 2/3 of the flat round face simulates sunrise. The bottom section is a digital display that normally shows the time in red digital numerals with a small symbol indicating if the snooze is activated. If the 2nd alarm is set, there’s a second small symbol. In this picture, the display is showing numbers and symbols in every available space & I didn’t even know it had this many settings or symbols or what they mean. I am afraid.

Visiting Iceland for our 2026 Musicality Genomics meeting. A beautiful sculpture near Harpa Concert Hall (Reykjavík) makes sonic overtones as wind travels through. Intended to depict the shape of light beams reflected through vibrating tuning forks, it also resembles a right-handed double-helix. 🧬🎶😊
A photograph of Himinglæva, a stainless-steel sculpture designed to produce sonic overtones as the wind travels through it. This Aeolian harp is based on a Lissajous figure, representing the shape of light beams reflected through vibrating tuning forks. The sculpture produces diverse sounds based on the force of the wind travelling through it, thereby directing the viewer’s attention to natural phenomena like the air around them. In Norse mythology, sailors who sensed the power of the wind and waves around them assumed that the mythical figure Himinglæva (meaning transparent, shining, and small wave) was embodying the water and propelling their vessels across the ocean. The sculpture was created by Elín Hansdóttir in 2021, and can be found outside the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in downtown Reykjavík, Iceland.

It is the duty of the extremely online to send this to your friends, relatives, or colleagues who own portable generators.
Three geese flying with carbon monoxide alarms on their backs. The geese are flying through an intense blizzard over the US. The geese are wearing wool hats with pom poms on top. They are not afraid. The text reads: Carbon monoxide safety geese brigade. Ever loud! Every lifesaving! Ever bird! Make sure your carbon monoxide alarms are working. Keep your portable generator outdoors and 20 feet away from your home!

A trash pickup truck with the name Patriot Disposal and a red white and blue flag background on the side backing into an alley. The fence along the side of the alley has painted mural sections. Visible are a peace symbol with a green background and a “no kings” symbol on a navy blue background.
