I appreciated your saying that every woman you know will have a story... even at over 60, and far, far away from America, hearing/reading about the Cornell 7 had me wondering if now was the time to tell some of my stories.

The fossil industry has simple motives: maximising fossil fuel combustion (more that = more $) Climate is simple too: the more combustion, the worse it gets (more so for each new tonne burned) so...the fossil industry supports the things that make climate change (and our lives) worse, consistently

Only quibble here is the headline: the algal bloom was not "mysterious". It was another event exacerbated by climate change driven by burning fossil fuels. Government officials were also aware within the first months that hundreds of thousands of marine animals had been killed in the bloom.

Labor backbenchers have been out in force the past few days spruiking "increases" in Centrelink payments. To be very, very clear: this is absolute bullshit. This is an automatic CPI adjustment, not an increase. Labor is still keeping people on income support in poverty.
