The difference between AI and social media is that one was created by men who decline any responsibility for the damage it wreaks, and the other was created by men who decline any responsibility for the damage it wreaks. Hope that’s cleared it up.

Google is updating its satellite images of Gaza. The comprehensiveness of effort required to reduce an urban landscape to this is beyond imagining. Literal carpet bombing.

And it's never really about culture or "assimilation", although we continue to pretend otherwise.

The Knesset (Israel's parliament) elections panel has voted overwhelmingly to exclude all the Arab majority parties from participating in the upcoming national election. The decision will be reviewed by the Supreme Court. We couldn't possibly suggest that this sounds a little like apartheid.

Nowhere in Australian law does it say that a senator can't be a prime minister, writes Michael Bradley. It would be no impediment for Pauline Hanson. www.crikey.com.au/2026/09/17/p...

Could Pauline Hanson become prime minister as a senator? Yes, actually
The office of prime minister is not mentioned anywhere in the Australian constitution. Its existence, eligibility and function are governed by convention, not law.

In case anyone was in doubt as to what's really at stake here. "Disappointed" has been the club's response, about what exactly? Disappointed is not a normal reaction to rape. It is a normal reaction to seeing your premiership hopes recede because of an inconvenient turn of events.
