That poor man, he’s probably still crying himself to sleep every night. I hope he’s seeking help and not spiralling down into PTSD. Can you even imagine not getting what you spent your whole life assuming you deserved (just because you have a penis (well Y chromosome)?

I've always loved the openness and collegiality of our C. elegans community 🪱, but this perspective really helps emphasize just *how important* those traits are for scientific progress. A true tribute to how curiosity-driven science leads to innovation! 🙌

Wait, if I just liked this chapter (verse?) will that spawn future chapters? Those cookies sound delicious. We saw Derek Jacobi live in a non-stuttering role in Toronto in the late 90’s. What have you done with the real Ian Holmes? Is he even monitoring this bot?

A potent and plain-spoken defence of DEI in science - from the experts. Representation *matters*.
Highlighted excerpt from article quoted reads:

Put more plainly, broadening participation in and democratizing science is not a zero-sum enterprise; it produces more effective and supportive training environments for all scien-tists, creates a wider and more relevant array of scientific research questions and approaches, and results in more innovative science and technologies that benefit all people.

Yes, this is my hack to do some data munging when it feels like it would take too long to look up the Emacs command (to accomplish the same thing). It is sort of a hack, but usually works and for me is faster (if not simpler). What can I say? I think in Perl and awk one/liners.
