For years, essentially starting with the pandemic, I would sit in my home office in silence while I worked. Like a psychopath. I got a radio now tuned to the local classical station that I listen to in the mornings and it’s amazing how much better life is with that playing.

My son is also asking “HEY IS THAT BEN BROWN?!” Every player. He’s been obsessed with Ben Brown since he was a year old. Which at the time I’d tell people “yeah he weirdly loves this ONE young reliever.” Who knew he’d be flashing signs of being an ace a couple seasons later?

Every once in a while I beg certain comic book artists out there to please consider drawing their characters' mouths open more often when they are speaking/emoting. Indy, artsy and mainstream. Your endlessly tight-lipped bad actors are dead on the page, killing dialogue and snuffing emotion.

When I say characters' mouths should be drawn open more often when speaking dialogue I want to make two things clear. One, it's my opinion. Two, I'm not saying it means drawing exaggerated expressions like I tend to do. Every style has a "mouth range". IMO closed mouth in almost every panel is DOA.
