I’m looking for recommendations on the best small air purifier that is very elderly-friendly/for a tech averse senior citizen that has simple buttons and is easy to maintain. Please send any suggestions my way.

This weird belief that some people have that Covid wasn’t really hurting that many people is so out of touch with reality and so disrespectful to the people who suffered, and who died and their families. The children who lost an adult to this disease will be forever impacted.

mattneil.bsky.social @mattneil.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
I think it’s important to keep this in mind. Nobody believes closing schools temporarily is good for kids in a vacuum. It’s an emergency measure that had to be done. Letting the disease kill and maim millions of more people wouldn’t have been good for kids either. Every death destroyed a family.

This is absolutely true. When I served on technology teams in the past, we would often focus on how the technology could transform learning, and I would always go back to. When are we teaching kids how to type? It was waved away and I was told typing was no longer necessary. Big mistake.
