Excited to see BEstimate out - a computational tool for base editing guide RNA design for screening, disease modelling and correction of pathogenic variants. It's SNP-aware, so you can parse non-reference genomes, and reports off-target sites. paper: link.springer.com/article/10.1...

Our paper on genetic mediators of cancer cell susceptibility to T cell killing is out today online: www.cell.com/cell-reports... These genes could serve as biomarkers of sensitivity to immunotherapy - they modulate IFN-g and TNF-a response and are lost in some tumours Thread below on our preprint👇

CRISPR screens in the context of immune selection identify CHD1 and MAP3K7 as mediators of cancer immunotherapy resistance
Immunotherapies only provide benefit for a subset of individuals with cancer, highlighting the need for biomarkers of response. Using whole-genome CRISPR-Cas9 screens, Watterson et al. map genetic dep...

New biomarkers for cancer immunotherapy have been identified. 🔎 Researchers found that loss of two genes, CHD1 and MAP3K7, makes tumours more likely to respond to immunotherapy. The findings could help support more personalised cancer treatment 👇 bit.ly/4sMBTq2

Immunotherapy success could be predicted with new biomarkers
Scientists pinpoint two cancer genes that when deleted, improve the vulnerability of tumour cells to immunotherapy.

WRN inhibitors are being tested in patients with MSI cancers. How do tumours adapt to WRN inhibition, and can therapy stay ahead of resistance? Our latest preprint investigates how MSI tumours evolve under pressure from WRN inhibition. Highlights below.
