This is plainly the situation: there is no fair hearing for anyone on the left, there is only a wall of implacable hostility and contempt. Denying this, is just whistling past the graveyard. Any great plans we might have for the future need to recognise this is the starting point.

Some pushback on this for being depressing and doom-laden, and it certainly is. But I don’t know how people can watch e.g. the treatment of protestors by government and media in the last few years and not conclude they view the left as an enemy to be defeated, and then crushed.
