The video game industry has always been volatile (I published Press Reset in 2021!) but the skeleton key to understanding the current state of things is this: Big games now cost 10x to make what they did 15 years ago but most do not generate even close to 10x the revenue. Simple as that

My OG Xbox was crapping out on stream today while I played TRON 2.0: Killer App. Frustrating. We need full backwards compatibility on the Xbox platform and other systems. It sucks how fractured and confusing it is to play classics. We should be able to buy a game and play it forever.
