Worth pointing out that in 1956, a children's book adaptation of Homer was doing "woke" casting.

This is exactly what's happening in Palestine. The massacre is deliberate. OP's post (not the quoted one but the beginning of the thread) is awful. We have a moral duty to call out genocide and all the powerful nations should work to stop it instead of looking the other way !

I applied for a volunteer position in my city to help illiterate people (adults mostly) learn how to read/write and do basic maths. Today I got news that they are interested in my profile and I'm in touch with the lady that runs the program to see how I can be part of the team 🤗 So excited !!! 🥰

Atlantic ocean is a couple of hours away by car and I went because we had bank holiday yesterday. I found this sand castle Vauban-style at the beach and was soooo delighted although sadly the person who made it was not around (beach was empty).

A star-shaped sand wall around a small sand castle (square base with round keep, both having crenels). The point towards the sea is open and there's a small sand ramp, and a few feet away a lone tower.
You can see it was low tide but the sea has a few waves

Recognition— where we began the joy of pages not yet filled, a celestial collaboration. My heart a patient fire, endures a universe of temperamental desire often bound by silence but not indifference. Once was, life is— the unconscious flames of our stars keep travelling together. #vss365

I was not in the best mood tonight, but Gokushufudo really lifted my spirits ! It's so funny and light 🤭

Netflix promo pic of the anime Gokushufudo : Tatsu is the middle of the pic, looking above his sunglasses, wearing an apron on top of his yakuza black suit and he is presenting a full bento box with kawai food. The background is yellow and has a rumba, some groceries, a shopping basket, coupons, an attache-case and a hat in a circle around Tatsu.
"Netflix original anime series The Way of the Househusband. Netflix - Coming 2021" is written in the lower part of the image

The simple joy of spotting a glowworm in the garden 🥰 Fun fact : the scientific name of the species (Lampyris) comes from Greek and means "shining ones" #entomology + #etymology [Of course a lot of the charm is lost when you take a pic with the flash on but I still wanted to share 🤭]

A female glowworm (the pattern on its back is made of brown and light brown stripes) a bit curled up on a leaf on the ground. You can see the green light glowing at its end

Just played the indie game Gris (Nomada Studios) and it was amazing ! Oh my god the art 😍 the soundtrack 😍 A gem I would recommend 200% #Indiegames

An aquarelle like image with the title Gris on the top half. You can see a girl's face, her short blue hair floating aroundliés. skin is white, she is wearing yellow eyeshadow and has pinkish cheeks and lips. A blue tear is running down her left cheek.
You can see a little bit of her black dress on the bottom of her neck.
There are two blue and green ink stains on the right part of the picture, and there's sunlight coming from the left.
The picture is very dreamlike.

Reminder that children are not their parents' property, despite how most of society consciously or subconsciously sees them. The job of a parent is to make sure that children have the opportunity to grow up safely into the people said children want to be. NOT who the parents want the kid to be.
