You have to hand it to R. Johnson. Whatever you think of TLJ (I love it), he broke the Star Wars cinematic experience, maybe beyond repair. Every single film after it has been the safest shit possible. He tried to show us a way forward, a vocal minority hated it, Disney panicked, and here we are.
