This is a reasonable and pragmatic attitude that will never fly on the internet… But seriously, the important features of Pluto *for me* are that it is a differentiated body with a recognisable geological history. *For me*, that also says “planet”, if other people want to use different boxes, 🤷‍♂️

ICYMI, SpaceX performed 207,000 collision avoidance maneuvers of its Starlink satellites from 1 Dec 2025 to 31 May 2026, per a filing with the FCC, meaning it is on track for close to 500,000 maneuvers in 2026 (up from about 300,000 in 2025).

Bill Gray's latest orbit estimate for the Falcon 9 rocket stage (F9-427, 62719) lunar approach shifts the impact a bit northwest, further round the limb to 93W 20N, at 0635UTC Wednesday, so will be harder to see from Earth than previously thought

I've heard a not-insignificant number of people say something like, well NASA and SpaceX are two completely different things, going about space dreams in their own way.. I don't think it's really caught on that SpaceX & thus Musk are the scaffolding for pretty much the entire American space program
