Yesterday afternoon in my town, ICE kidnapped a man walking home from Dunkin Donuts with coffee for his family right off the street. New Jersey is under siege. This is the least violent kidnapping we’ve had, but it’s still a kidnapping.

Congress can do a lot once it’s under Dem control. However, it cannot a) prosecute anyone for violations of federal law, or b) pass laws on its own without a veto proof majority. We have to exert inordinate pressure on a Dem congress to use all powers they have though!

It has become increasingly/sadly more and more clear to me as we live through year 10 of Trumpism in America that there are a lot of commentators on our side of the fence who: a) don’t understand that the DOJ is under the control of the executive branch and b) don’t understand how laws get passed.
