I love the Doronbo Gang #art #fireemblem #fefw

The main Saramis trio; Bonaventure, Theodora, & Tobias from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. All three posed and drawn in a way that calls back and is tribute to the Doronbo Gang from the classic anime, Yatterman.

Theodora being Doronjo, Bonaventure as Boyacky, & Tobias as Tonzura.

Their team name, "Megaira's Beacon," from when they participate during the Heroic Games is written above them.

Men have to call out other men. Men will not listen to women. We had the whole MeToo movement and men made fun of it. If it's "Not All Men" then include yourself in that qualifier and stand up for victims. You being called a White Knight or a Simp is a fine trade to prevent lifelong female trauma.

Today's my birthday! At 44 it's a sort of age I didn't really consider real when I was younger. Time is funny in how it feels like things are faster and slower than they appear. Especially after finally coming out, years feel very different to be celebrating.

I'M IN TEARS THIS WAS LITERALLY ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I ASKED WHEN I STARTED PLAYING DEADLOCK AND THE CALL WENT SILENT. "MARCY THAT'S A BRITISH ACCENT." "WHY?" *pointing at self in mirror* I'M MINA?

Deadlock voice exchange that reads:
Mina: So what do you do? Throw a boomerang?
Bebop: Why would I throw a boomerang?
Mina: Cause you're like an Australian robot or whatever?
Bebop: Ok. So 1, I was created in America. 2, I sound British, not Australian.
Mina: Why would she make you sound like that?

Genuinely, this completely rules

－Recently, the game has been going viral on X for its beautiful undressing animations. I’ve even read in one of your previous interviews that the development team practiced stripping themselves as reference for the undressing animations. What was the process behind making the animations actually like?

Matsui:

I’d love to know how far that story has spread. It’s true.

First, we write a plot for each undressing scene, then draw storyboards, exactly as the original team did. Then the real work begins, because the animation is essentially all keyed by hand. A designer moves the clothing’s 3D model, frame by frame, manually. It really is pretty much like the claymation method I mentioned.

We did try automating it with physics simulation first, but it was a total failure. The cloth moved in a physically correct way, but had absolutely no allure. We learned a profound lesson: accuracy and sensuality are two unrelated properties. In the end, we accepted that humans would have to do all of it.

Then VR adds its own weight. In a normal game, if something becomes awkward, you can cut away or swap models between scenes. In VR, the player can look from any angle at any time, so none of those tricks are available. The same model has to undress convincingly no matter where you’re standing. When I described this to a designer at another studio, he said, “I would never do that.” I’ve chosen to take it as a compliment.

And then, yes, the part you’ve read about. The undressing motions themselves use motion capture, but the deeper problem was that nobody actually knew the correct rhythm and order in which a person takes off clothes. So, the directors gathered and undressed themselves as reference. “That zipper is coming down too fast.” “She’d pause once before slipping her shoulder out.” These were serious, sober discussions. For compliance reasons, the Super Real Mahjong Venus Returns team works in a walled-off section of our office – and that was the moment those walls truly earned their keep.

back on X I used to occasionally ask why people got so mad at NTR, and theorized that it was because they cannot visualize themselves as either the woman or the man, but only the cuck, and then we've had like 12 years of that being the political praxis of the right, which feels unrewarding to see.

So this game called "Dverghold" came across my Steam homepage. Interesting retro vibes, apparently collabing with a dungeon synth artist for the OST. The art was kinda tickling my AI-dar though, so I scrolled down to look for any disclaimers.
