I'm really not looking forward to the next dem admin so all these same ppl pretend the shit happening either a) is now good or b) isn't happening because all they cared about was feeling embarrassed about it

its also a problem because Spielberg has become an increasingly weird zionist hack

well it didn't come out in January, so I can only assume Whalefall has the magical 50/50 chance to be actually good or hysterically terrible

How would she handle the inevitable table spot managers get

*He, not she. I guess I just decided to misgender Kohji Kuhmeta as a little prank or something.

sometimes I wonder if she shifted to younger characters to avoid that sort of thing (Shibuya Near Family is almost panel for panel the same cadence style and humor as SZS).

Undertone was interesting. It felt very indie and small, almost film school project-y, and I appreciated the minimalism but I can see why people were so divided on it when it released. Also kind of had 'first person horror game vibes where you listen to a lot of Lore on rails'.

kicked off our October Movie Nights that we do with in our little server with Evil Dead Burns and Undertone. Boy Evil Dead Burns sucks. Wow what a bad fucking movie; just an all around downgrade from Rise. A story of abuse would be great if not buried in ED nonsense, also the stinger SUCKS.

on our second watch of this I def appreciated Clark more and almost wish he had full time in it, but overall I still like it. I do think it is still so funny to me how her accent just flops out and its like Norwegianly: "yes, I'm American".

I have had Brazillian friends for a long time so I always try to keep up with things, as well as just trying to keep tabs on non-American news because the world shouldn't only concern myself

people often call Bluesky a liberal leaning site but I tried looking up news on Brazil's election and the large majority of posters here seem to be real happy for Bolsonaro 2 so I guess the english / anglosphere bubble here is real strong (not that it is a liberal site either tbh)

Shout out to all the publishers that declined to comment as your LGBTQ+ manga was pulled from libraries. [I'm still mad]

no because I would get dirt on the front of it, realize it probably won't wash out, and end up a hysterical mess

No review I've seen has denoted the absolutely amazing seitokanoana gag about the femboy getting so brutalized he becomes a girl that feels like it can only work in animation

As a verbal note: it got color pages and used only 3 colors: white, black, and a single drop of red. It was the best color spread I think I've ever seen in Jump.

I'm having trouble talking about Akane Banashi lately cause the current manga arc is insane but also just sort of super spoilers to ppl who have only seen the anime. But its so good lately.

I thought the new Keroro was a reboot but... it seems to just assume you know who all of them are? I mean I guess that's fine Keroro is basically modern doraemon at this point but just felt weird how the episode sets up nothing

Student Council Has Its Holes is great btw a shame its condemned to being on a streaming service no one is going to sign up for just to watch it tbh

000

Are we gonna get discourse about Student Council Has its Holes and being a sex comedy about teens, Forex anime and investment gambling / fanservice or is there some 3rd thing I haven't noticed this season

Just Marcy! @marcille.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

the thing I love about this series is Kurumi's perverse thought process is "my mom died because she's a fucking WSB flop out, I'm gonna earn back the money she lost and prove that I'm diamond hands" like girl go to fucking therapy

040

Its tough. Its very good but also *brutal* at times.

Chainsmoker Cat was obviously a comedy that caught people off guard, but Kurumi-chan is kind of not... a comedy.

Just Marcy! @marcille.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Man the Forex anime is *brutal* huh. I wonder if people will have the stomach for it
