Ignore multiple obvious weaknesses in squad. Miss out on Champions League. Sack manager. Appoint new manager. Address some obvious weaknesses in squad. Qualify for Champions League. Decide other obvious weaknesses in squad no longer need addressing because you qualified for Champions League. Repeat.

Hilarious officiating for Cunha to get absolutely steamrollered five minutes ago and get nothing and then Gallagher gets that foul in the exact same place on the pitch

A common theme that drives me absolutely wild with elections/polling these days: 1. Right wing wrecks everything 2. Left of centre figure elected 3. Left of centre can’t fix all the damage in 5 seconds so the right wing, who have got 10x worse in the meantime, lead polls again/win next election

I think this will be one of the defining images of the Premier League's void years: a proudly working class fanbase celebrating that the ruling family of an oppressive regime had hired a barrister on £10,000-an-hour to try and prevent them suffering consequences for their cheating. Embarrassing.
A bunch of mugs celebrating their perceived impunity

Manchester City cheated Premier League rules, the Commission found. Did it also cheat HMRC? We've examined the decision and leaked Mancini documents. We think City likely failed to pay £12m in tax. There should be a criminal investigation. Thread:

Have now slowly re-read the ruling, and it is even more damning than at first reading. The ruling pretty much sets out Manchester City was fraudulent on a systemic long-term basis. Not just mere non-compliance, but ‘concealments’ and ‘disguises’. Also some MCFC witnesses were ‘dishonest’.

Fun observing the reactions of City fans today. They ALL knew they were rampantly cheating but you’ve got some being really brazen about it and others who clearly had so much faith in the lawyers that they felt they could hide behind that and are now at a bit of a loss. No sympathy for any of them
