Finally! Glad more people are switching to Linux and ditching Windows

Saw this on Reddit and thought it was only happening to one person but actually it’s happening to many people. Chat GPT consumes so much RAM and not only that it keeps running even when the macbook lid is closed, better use these Chat Bots in the browser #chatgpt #openai #macos

Shoutout to Anton Martyniuk for showing a good list of tools to use as a developer in 2026. He has some interesting insights on Linkedin and shares other good tips for software engineers #development

There used to be times where you had to manually save your progress and in some games, could only be done in some areas

Leaked image of new Apple EV.
EV on its roof, with charging cable underneath; reminiscent of Apple Magic Mouse.

Anders Hejlsberg is a living legend: created Turbo Pascal, Delphi, C# and TypeScript (and today TypeScript is the most-used programming language) I hope you enjoy this rare conversation on language design, learnings, and how AI might (not) change the craft: YouTube: youtu.be/K-Xv8D8NjTk (cont'd)

AI can help us write faster, but shipping more code is not the same as shipping better software. The real challenge now is keeping quality, clarity, and maintainability intact while we move faster. Weird times to be building software. #softwareengineering #programming #tech

AI enables product teams to produce more code, but that doesn’t automatically mean more business value or better software. To achieve that, product teams need to 1. Focus on how AI accelerates the entire dev process not just coding. Ideation, problem solving, design, testing & deployment.

The job market feels unusually tough right now. Between AI hype, a shaky economy, and 1,000+ applicants for a single role, switching jobs can feel less like a step forward and more like a full-time competition. #JobMarket #Career #AI #Hiring #TechJobs

Big tech’s data grip is slipping. Europe is leading with real alternatives: Switzerland’s Punkt. and the Netherlands’ Fairphone. These devices prioritize privacy and ethical design, proving we don’t need to trade our data for innovation. #DataPrivacy #DigitalMinimalism #RightToRepair

Your phone is about to stop being yours. In September 2026, Google will block every Android app whose developer hasn't registered with them.

I recently switched job and I have to say, even if I am using a macbook, I feel the development experience is much smoother. I had a Thinkpad before with Windows and everything was so much locked down to a point that you couldn’t install most of the developer tools and had to raise a ticket

I saw the Devil Wears Prada 2 and thought it was a really good sequel to the original story. The key plot point of how technology changes and layoffs were roiling the journalism industry amid the whims of billionaires felt a bit close to home given working in tech nowadays ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ out of ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Europe is falling back in the AI race, yes there is some startups, but nothing that can compete with the US tech giants. Also Europe should just drop all together support from US companies, look at Germany what they’ve been doing

This is in relation to Chat GPT introducing a 100$ subscription, but even hosting a huge model on a server requires lots of costs

Malware Werewolf @malwarewerewolf.bsky.social · 10/04/2026
You can already host locally AI models through tools like Ollama, if it’s a model with like 2b then your laptop can handle it, if it’s a good one with like 40b or even 180b, then you need better hardware

I assume that considering how much Bitlocker is garbage and the keys are basically stored in Microsoft servers, they want people to only use their Software instead of relying on an alternative such as veracrypt. I’m glad I switched to Linux, Microsoft keeps downgrading Windows

Browsing the web used to be much better, Google and Mozilla are dominating the web and creating a new browser from scratch is just too complex so there is no competition and all the other alternatives are just Forks of either Chromium or Firefox

At the current stage, AI can be used as a tool, but it can’t replace Developers yet, since it requires more critical thinking and good system architecture knowledge which AI is not very good at. Game development is also very difficult and can’t be easily replaced

DRMs are completely useless, if your video game is good, people will still buy it, take a look at The Witcher 3. Not to mention that they are very bad for performance especially since they mask the real OEP and other instructions making a game harder to reverse.

I got so tired of Windows that I fully switched to Linux, and compared to what some people say, if you are not crazy about customization, then you have solid choices like Fedora where everything works out of the box with no issues. Windows 11 is full of crap that nobody asked like Copilot everywhere
