Been meaning to read Ryszard Kapuściński for a long time. Made sense to start with his book "Shah of Shahs" written when the Pahlavi monarchy was ousted. This is a different kind of book, the blurb is right that it brings a 'mythographer's perspective and a novelist's virtuosity.'
