In the end I went for it because I have lost more than this amount of money in the past due to illness. I know the vaccine isn't 100% proof I won't get sick but it could potentially save me the cost of rescheduling travel or lodging.

I am used to paying £20 for my flu shot so it's an expense I tend to expect. In the past I've gotten my covid boosters on trips back to the US. This time I decided to get my shots locally and had a bit of sticker shock - almost didn't get it.

Just got my annual flu vaccine and covid booster. I'm not eligible for these to be covered under the NHS so I pay for them out of pocket. My local pharmacy in Manchester is charging £20 for flu and £70 for covid.

As far as we know, the primary cause of death in ICE custody is a refusal to provide medical care. It’s a form of structural violence and extremely common component of eugenics and ethnic cleansings.

if you want to know what it is like in minneapolis, I don’t even have to scroll on facebook to find a horror story. it’s basically my whole feed. everyone i know in minneapolis is seeing ICE take people—at gas stations, taquerias, bus stops, schools. just snatching random people.

My brother's construction site was raided by ICE this
morning and 6 people were taken (they came after he left to a new site so he didn't get taken, but some of the crew did). MN companies need to do a better job at protecting their employees. They know ICE is present visibily in the Twin Cities so they need to not send their employees to work until ICE ain't roaming the streets!!
