Trump still pretends that US consumers don't pay the tariffs that he applies. Some foreign firms may pay some tariffs (or reimburse their US customers or lower prices) but most don't. Also, Americans pay because without foreign competition US firms can raise prices.

By the way, if somebody tries to tell you climate change is only a concern of "educated and affluent" liberals, you can show them this map. At least half the people in *every* US state, even the deep red ones, worry about it

Great Crested Flycatcher at Springbank Park in London, Ontario. It's difficult to find many of these and usually they are well-hidden and high up in the canopy. They winter mainly from Mexico to Colombia; also winters regularly in southern Florida. Migrates mostly at night.

Cities like Calgary that gamed the Federal Housing Accelerator Fund Program aren’t just cheating the Canadian Federal Government. They’re effectively cheating every other Canadian city that acted in good faith, & badly needed that kind of funding help. The Feds owe those cities visible consequences.

On this day in 1890, Franklin Carmichael was born in Orillia, Ontario. He became a member of the Group of Seven. His paintings were often in watercolours and focused on Ontario landscapes. Today his work sells for upwards of $300,000. He died in 1945.
