I wish the rest of my family wasn’t so quick to get rid of remnants of John… Mom had his meds thrown out before the vet was even here yesterday. Then last night his dangling toy was unclipped from the ceiling. Now his food dish is gone from the stairs. I feel like I’m being rushed. 😔

He’s gone. I held him through it, and didn’t even care that he leaked pee on me. We let Dino and Chip sniff him. And then the vet bundled him up in a blanket in a basket and took him off to be cremated. And now idk what to do with myself.

Just finished a great book. I ought to sleep on my feelings about it, but…I’m staying up with John all night, and I have ~5 hours until the vet gets here. So I’ll have to read some more. My next book is ‘the untold story of Mrs Lovett’ of Sweeney Todd fame. I hope I don’t bad mood myself into a DNF.

Reading in the bath with John sitting next to me for the last time. One of my daily goals is “do something that makes me happy” and on many days the only thing I had that counted for that was bath time with John. I don’t know what I’m going to do without him.
