You there. I want you to say, aloud, at some point today "I'm really glad I'm good at..." And then you're gonna say something you think you do pretty well. If you don't think you do anything pretty well, I want you to say "one little thing that makes me unique is..." And if you can't do either?

Baby's first merch! Colors aren't consistent between mediums but maybe it's not so bad? 🥹 Seeyastrat album physical and acrylic standee: Gonna sell some of these at CF21 next month! 😋 Might do a PO form down the road, but for now, general interest check! Lmk if you'd like to pick one up there. :D

Meet the "Japanese snow fairy" (shima enaga), a subspecies of long-tailed tit native to Hokkaido. It's no wonder Japanese anime characters look like they do, when actual Japanese wildlife looks like this:

just a reminder that bandcamp friday is tomorrow & streaming services are interrupting music streams with ai generated shit, flooding the database with artists that don't exist in any way other than profiting the platform owners so instead of paying a monthly fee, buy an album or two each month ok

Can any of you recommend a Black woman authenticity/sensitivity reader? I'm looking for feedback on a handful of pages in a graphic novel I'm translating. Ideally this person would have SR experience, and an understanding of comics, YA, and historical fiction. #BookSky #Comics #xl8

so, to understand this story there are a few things you need to know - my cat, Gus, believes he is a trained support animal - he is not (he has relatives who are, but he is not) - he believes he is a seizure-detecting dog - he is not a dog - I do not get seizures

Logging into HiNative for the first time in years Did they really shut down lang-8 just to bring the feature to hinative and put it behind a paywall? That's crazy dawg Anyways please check out nyan-8 if you want the same feature of getting feedback on your writing but free and human, it's great

A screenshot the post options on HiNative, a language-learning site.

"Ask about grammar/vocab" is the header, with prompts such as "How do you say this in (language of study)?" "Does this sound natural?" and "Foreign Language Diary". They have square icons on the left, colored with green, blue and orange respectively. The last 2 prompts have a "P" mark, which is short for "Premium." I love capitalism!!!!
