My last Christmas gift finally came!!!! 今年も色んなボカロ曲を見つけたり英訳して楽しみにしています！！！

There's a solid blue box on the left with pink highlights and Hatsune Miku, a white box on the right with Hatsune Miku on a beach is illustrated on it, and a Hatsune Miku mp3 player in the middle box, held in a white mold.

You there. I want you to say, aloud, at some point today "I'm really glad I'm good at..." And then you're gonna say something you think you do pretty well. If you don't think you do anything pretty well, I want you to say "one little thing that makes me unique is..." And if you can't do either?

I'm still thinking about this I know I gotta avoid being too negative but this is driving me insane as a novice translator and someone who played the source material 😭 I absolutely love this VN, but the tls went from no updates for 2 years to This Disappointed and confused on how this even happened?

On Shiki's route and they keep translating はい as I know? Shiki's amazing though I love his route so much

枢姫色︰「あのねー」
新堂林檎︰「……はい」
枢姫色︰「オレと付き合ってよ」
新堂林檎︰「……」

Shiki Kururugi : "Here's the thing..."
ShindoRingo : "I know..."
Shiki Kururugi : "I want you to go out with me."
ShindoRingo : "..."

Yeah... but hopefully they put out a patch to fix what happened!! It has potential, it just needs technical and creative tweaks! In the meantime I'm just gonna keep playing the jp ver 😌

Spicy Sweets @macaronzombie.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

There's spacing issues, they took away the color-coded text that was in the original script, honorific usage changes in a way that doesn't feel as natural (subjective), and overall the script has read kinda stiff I'm bummed bc I really love this vn and just want the tl to do it justice 😭

Baby's first merch! Colors aren't consistent between mediums but maybe it's not so bad? 🥹 Seeyastrat album physical and acrylic standee: Gonna sell some of these at CF21 next month! 😋 Might do a PO form down the road, but for now, general interest check! Lmk if you'd like to pick one up there. :D

just a reminder that bandcamp friday is tomorrow & streaming services are interrupting music streams with ai generated shit, flooding the database with artists that don't exist in any way other than profiting the platform owners so instead of paying a monthly fee, buy an album or two each month ok

so, to understand this story there are a few things you need to know - my cat, Gus, believes he is a trained support animal - he is not (he has relatives who are, but he is not) - he believes he is a seizure-detecting dog - he is not a dog - I do not get seizures
