Yup, and in this case you've got Fox splashing graphics of Paxton's campaign denouncing the "political attack" without mentioning that the perpetrators of said attack are their corporate cousins.

Aug 31st 1997 - At 4am Amélie Poulain decided she would reunite the box of treasures she found hidden in her bathroom earlier that morning with the owner, and if he was touched by the act, she would dedicate her life to making others happy. 📽️📅 Amélie (2001)
4 Screenshots from the movie "Amélie" (2001): First, a woman lies in bed with golden sheets, illuminated by warm light, with the subtitle "On August 31st at 4.00 a.m., Amélie had a dazzling idea." Second, the same woman sits up in bed, looking thoughtful, with the subtitle "Wherever he was, she would find the box's owner." Third, she reclines on the bed, gazing upward, with the subtitle "If he was touched, she'd become a regular do-gooder." Fourth, two women stand in a warmly lit apartment, one asking, "Would you know of a boy who lived in my flat in the fifties?"

Also, Dems have made a virtue out of their party not being in full control. One reason is the 2016 hangover; they are still accused of "rigging" a race won by the candidate who got more votes. Another is that Trump reformulated the GOP as a strong party that follows the leader and Dems don't like it

A LOT of what’s wrong with our current politics is directly traceable to the effective gelding of parties over the past 50 years. It’s not that we didn’t have plenty of populist demagogues in the past; it’s that party machines were pretty good at freezing them out of tickets.

“Country Roads” is not interested in telling people what kind of country America is supposed to be. In that simplicity, the U.S. team has found something unexpectedly binding: a song familiar enough for everyone to know, loose enough for everyone to claim.

The U.S. team’s adopted anthem is hokey, heartfelt and somehow perfect
"Country Roads," the John Denver classic written more than a half-century ago, has become the soundtrack of the Americans’ World Cup journey.

It's really hard to convey just how massive the scale of legislation has been to target trans people. From a few dozen pieces of legislation in 2015 to over a thousand in 2025. It started with sports bans in 2020 and now we're here. it was never about sports.
A bar chart titled "Figure 1: Anti-LGBTQ bills introduced per year, 2015–2026." The chart displays two sets of bars for each year: "Bills Introduced" (dark red/gray) and "Bills Enacted" (yellow). The data shows a significant upward trend in introduced bills starting in 2020, peaking in 2025 at over 1,000 bills, with the 2026 data representing a partial count as of March 2026. The source is noted as LegiAlerts.org Big Compilation Anti-LGBTQ Legislation Sheet.

The disease can cause muscle spasms strong enough to fracture bones. It’s fully preventable, but vaccination rates are slipping.
