You don’t get to “make the rules” for the rest of us because you believe your God gave you the authority. Pastors don’t direct politicians. Churches don’t govern citizens. And your Bible is not our Constitution. That’s why we separate church and state.

Wrote about how Trump’s tantrums over the Supreme Court reveal the not so hidden subtext of what Republicans expect from the justices. Also a mention of how Supreme Court politics resemble the Calciopoli scandal. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
As is nearly always the case with the president’s accusations, this was an illuminating projection. Trump fears that public pressure on the Supreme Court can sway the justices and how they rule. So when they don’t side with him, he assumes that’s what happened, and he trashes the Court in the hope that it will side with him the next time. He views criticism of the Supreme Court much as he views laws in general: When Trump or one of his allies wants to do something, such as use taxpayer dollars for cultish campaign ads, it’s legal. When his opponents want to do something, it’s illegal

How many times must we say this? AI* software does not “go rogue” any more than your printer “got religion” when it stopped working Sunday. Software does not have intent or agency. People do. And this feels like some people might be exposed to liability. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/29/t...
Months before OpenAI’s artificial intelligence went rogue, two employees raised an alarm with top executives. They were ignored.

In emails, the employees said they worried that OpenAI’s newest artificial intelligence models were not being appropriately monitored during testing to gauge the technology’s sophistication and to secure the models, according to messages viewed by The New York Times.

is it a breach of national security for the press to report on the activities of the president? including possible corruption, mismanagement, violations of law and protocol?
No. Ordinary press reporting on the President’s public activities, including possible corruption, mismanagement, or violations of law or protocol, is not itself a national-security “breach.” The First Amendment protects freedom of the press. Courts have described the press as a check on official abuse of power. House report on press freedom

many people are saying it
is the white house the personal property of the president and is he allowed to make massive changes and additions without oversight?
No. The White House is not the President’s personal property. The President lives and works there while in office. It remains public property.

Who owns it
Federal law treats the White House grounds (President’s Park enclosure) as the White House, administered under the National Park Service organic act and related laws, while still used as the President’s home and offices. 3 U.S.C. § 110 note (Pub. L. 87–286)
Plate, furniture, and other items in the Executive Residence are public property. The National Park Service directs an annual inventory. 3 U.S.C. § 109
Historic furniture and decorative objects the President declares of historic or artistic interest are inalienable and belong to the White House (they may be loaned to the Smithsonian). Same statute note.Changes and additions
Congress has long authorized and funded White House construction, repair, and major renovations (from rebuilding after 1814 through later wings and offices). A federal appeals court recently restated that history. D.C. Circuit opinion (Aug. 2026)

Routine upkeep of the residence is different from demolishing or adding major structures. Those projects typically need congressional authorization and appropriations. Whether a specific project is lawful is a fact-specific legal question; courts and Congress may review it. I cannot give legal advice.

The President is a temporary occupant, not the owner.

how many president have been impeached multiple times and why
One U.S. president has been impeached more than once: Donald J. Trump (2019 and 2021). The Senate acquitted him both times.

First impeachment (2019)
House charged abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Senate acquitted in 2020.
Second impeachment (2021)
House charged incitement of insurrection related to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Senate acquitted in 2021 (trial after his term ended).
Andrew Johnson (1868) and Bill Clinton (1998) were each impeached once; both were acquitted. Richard Nixon was not impeached; he resigned in 1974.
