Friends, I think those of us Not In Charge Here need to get back to physical gatherings. Like book clubs, let's say, in private homes, so that we can gather together in groups of, I dunno, 7? And then start inviting guests.

BTW in the US this is usually the "Dean of Students" office or something like that but if you cannot figure out who, contact your RA if you're in a uni residence, or your favorite instructor and they will help you, they are trained in the whole process.

PSA for those of you with kids in college or heading that way soon: please tell them that if a friend of theirs has a death in the family, especially first-degree (a sibling, parent, their own child, a roommate, and in most cases a partner also counts) TELL THEM TO TELL THE SCHOOL. RIGHT AWAY.

Not feeling terribly bad at all! Arm is sore to poke but has not raised up in that hot hard lump I've gotten for some others. My stomach has been the long-tail indicator in previous rounds so we'll see how the next few days go.

Almost all my covid rounds got some kind of "well, I might as well since I'm here" second option and the two that were shockingly bad were tdap and the first round of shingrix. My whole immune system went rogue for that shingrix.
