Tennyson often used to walk up Blackdown, the highest point in the South Downs, to the Temple of the Winds, named after a Bronze Age circular earthwork where, because of the height, it was very windy.

In 2018 we were in Centennial Park in Sydney when the Corellas came home to roost (and the bats were leaving). The Corellas were very boistrous, clumsily knocking each other off perches as they fought for somewhere to kip. I hope they're valid for #AwkwardAvian #BirdoftheDay considerations!

They are being viewed frm head on, and the bird in the middle has just taken off, with its wings outstretched and slightly ahead of it. The bird on the left is leaning away from it with its wings held slightly away from its body in alarm, its beak partly open as it screeches. The bird on the right is recoiling backwards, again with its beak open as it screeches. Each bird is all white, with a pale pink section around its eye that stretches above its beak , in which its nostrils are placed.

Es ist Herbst - die Katzen kommen rein. (Sie war nie ein ganz zahmes Haustier. 😍)

Tigerkatze mit bisschen weißen und roten Anteilen im Gesicht/Brust-Bereich und den Pfötchen liegt mit ausgesteckten Vorderbeinen in Richtung Betrachter und schaut nach rechts an diesem vorbei. Die nicht mehr intakten Ohren sprechen von einem bewegten Katzenleben.
Im Hintergrund unscharf nicht allzu moderne Wohnzimmeratmospäre mit bodentiefem Fenster wodurch irgendwie Terrasse / Hauswand / Garten zu erkennen ist.
