"Mount Saint-Grégoire constitutes a large, relatively unfragmented forest ecosystem within the Richelieu Plain. It is one of about fifteen wooded areas exceeding 200 hectares found in this region. It is characterized by two types of forest stands: a sugar maple-hickory forest and a boreal oak forest. Mount Saint-Grégoire is home to three "exceptional forest ecosystems" (EFE)—as designated by the Ministry of Natural Resourcescomprising two refuge forests and one rare forest."

Il compte parmi la quinzaine de boisés de plus de 200 hectares qu’on trouve sur ce territoire. A poem for little ones....
MORNING LIGHT
Into a misted morning
a sleepy light crept through - dropping Daybreak on its way to paint the black sky blue.
And inside every flower it passed it left a dewarop kiss,
and grass and trees it painted green and never one did miss.
It skimmed across the waterl where frogs and faeries played, and left some twinkles dancing upon the ripples made.
It left gold in the sunflowers, and woke the birds to sing and then went on its merry way well pleased with everything ..Robyn C.
