Here are facts and fiction behind the "breakthrough" seeding test for #Parkinsons. In this No Silver Bullet 4PD episode, I explain seeding and what a positive seeding test can and can't tell. I end with how patients and advocates can spot hype and push for change. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpXe...

Combining hyposmia + mild DaT abnormalities helpful in picking out folks (early) who will have a potentially positive synuclein seeding assay in the spinal fluid. It will be really nice to continue to track folks. 'Hyposmic individuals with +aSynSAA at high risk for eventual clinical symptoms.'

What does a positive αSyn-SAA mean? ✅It supports a Parkinson's diagnosis. ✅It does not indicate disease mechanisms, severity, progression rate, biological subtypes, or treatment response. Important article: www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... @albertoespay.bsky.social @ajlees.bsky.social

Prevention and health promotion is less known to be practiced in Neurology. However, maintaining this approach transversally in Neuroscience will always be a contribution and valuable contribution for patients and health providers As always, acronyms are useful. #NeuroResolution2025

Today’s Neurology Question (AAN) on Alzheimer’s biomarkers showed that only 57% of neurologists select low CSF Ab42. Might that be the influence of a disease framework where everything “goes up,” with AD resulting from “too much” amyloid?
