Ohio schools depend on the real property tax. That's one reason a property tax repeal is a bad idea, especially with no proposed replacement.

Together, we're demanding the pay, hours, staffing and protections baristas need to succeed - and it would only cost Starbucks less than one day’s sales. Starbucks, it’s time to land a union contract and move forward!
Starbucks Workers United - What We're Fighting For [images: Starbucks baristas in union attire posing]MORE HOURS & BARISTAS ON THE FLOOR
More Hours Before New Hires. Available hours go to current baristas before hiring new workers so we can get the hours we need to qualify for benefits and pay our bills.

3 Workers on the Floor at All Times. Two workers cannot safely or efficiently run a store; we need at least 3 workers scheduled
on the floor to properly do our jobs.

HIGHER WAGES & HIGHER RAISES
Raising the “Wage Floor.” Baristas start between $15.25–16/hr in 43 states, which is simply not enough to survive. Raising that floor to $17/hr minimum would lift up the lowest-paid workers in our union - as well as everyone else in our stores.

4% Annual Raises. We need economic security. The 1.5–2% raises in recent years have failed to keep up with rising costs and inflation.

ACCOUNTABILITY
End Illegal Union-Busting and
Resolve All Outstanding Issues.
Starbucks owes millions of dollars in backpay to current and former baristas, and more than
600 labor law violations remain unresolved.

It’s time to resolve issues, get baristas the money they are owed, and move forward.

AN ACTIVE VOICE IN OUR WORKPLACE
Grievance Procedures. A binding, enforceable process to resolve workplace issues quickly, fairly, and with accountability between workers and management.

Health & Safety Measures. Enforceable protections and a worker-held seat at the table on safety in our stores to keep workers and customers safe.

STRONGER PROTECTIONS
“Job Impact” Support When Changes Happen. When stores close or operations change, baristas deserve income stability and guaranteed transfer opportunities.

Fair Dress Code. A reasonable dress code with inclusion and protections around natural hair (in-line with the Crown Act) and union t-shirts.

Non-Discrimination. Real, enforceable, improved protections so every union barista is treated with dignity at work.

“Just Cause.” No more arbitrary firings, just cuz a manager feels like it.
