It’s been a little over three years and the loss of my mom is a wound that starts bleeding again at the slightest touch. A big part of the struggle is tripping over all the ways my dad can’t fill the gaps. He’s who he is, and has his strengths, mostly practical. I miss the other side of the coin.

1. Tire pressure warning light goes on. 2. Go to gas station, use air machine. 3. Tires 1, 2, and 3 behave perfectly. Tire 4 decides the air machine is for removing air, not adding. I now have a flat. 4. Use insurance roadside assistance. It will be an hour until they get here. RIP good mood.
