4/ Is Europe institutionally sound enough for a global currency? → No eurozone safe asset (NGEU bonds exist, but are limited and temporary). → No common fiscal capacity to stabilise in a crisis. → Capital markets remain fragmented. → No unified external voice in global fora.

3/ The risks: → Price-sensitive exports could suffer, though premium segments may be insulated → External financial shocks could bite harder → Large foreign reserve holders may gain leverage over EU policy A global currency role is not just a privilege — it changes the game.

2/ A stronger euro could lower financing costs for EU companies & governments — helping fund the massive investments Europe needs for sustainability, security, and sovereignty. It could also strengthen Europe’s financial & geopolitical autonomy. But at what cost? ⚖️
