These are just three out of several other recent cases involving social movements and conspiracy charges. What links them is not the recurrence of some crime called “conspiracy,” but the conversion of ordinary political association into proof of unlawful intent.

Suggesting that one of your faculty members outright bamboozled you when they changed a few words is a big choice. There can be quibbles about the changes the professor made being contrary to his agreement with the university but it's clear leadership is hanging him out to dry. 1/2
Screenshot of article which reads: In an interview with The Chronicle, Peterson said he’d exchanged several calls and messages with administrators about the line referencing Gaza protests, and he’d agreed to not call Israel’s actions “genocide” and to avoid naming any specific student-activist organizations. He disputes that he meaningfully changed the speech. He also said the university’s institutional-neutrality policy shouldn’t apply to the chair of the Faculty Senate.Screenshot of article which reads: What was your reaction to President Grasso’s statement, which said that you had deviated from your approved script?

The president’s got to do what the president’s got to do. But the statement as composed effectively throws me under the bus and makes it seem as though I pulled this speech out of my back pocket and surprised the whole institution by giving it. That’s not true.

I tried to be transparent about what I was going to say. I composed a text in advance that was more or less exactly what I read. Did I extemporize? Yes, like any public speaker would do.

Absolutely horrific details about an ICE shooting in Minneapolis. A witness says a woman was trying to drive away from an ICE operation and the ICE agent "reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times." Bovino was there. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
Emily Heller lives near 33rd and Portland and said she woke up to a commotion outside her home. She said she saw a car blocking traffic on Portland Avenue that appeared to be part of a protest against federal law enforcement operations.

Heller said she heard ICE agents telling the driver, a woman, to “get out of here.”

“She was trying to turn around, and the ICE agent was in front of her car, and he pulled out a gun and put it right in — like, his midriff was on her bumper — and he reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times,” Heller said.

Heller said it appeared the woman then accelerated and traveled about 100 feet before striking a utility pole and some other vehicles. She could be seen slumped over inside her car.
