This makes me hopeful. This number is aspirational but nowhere near out of reach: a working professional could realistically cash out their 401k and buy off a public official. Owning a senator is more attainable for most Americans than home ownership.

How Levine crushes like this, day after day, week after week -- it's extraordinary:
Frontier AI research is a weird corner of the art world where you can command the highest prices by being the most anti-commercial. The most valuable frontier AI model is one that is so dangerously omniscient that no one can be allowed to use it. The cash flows from that model would be zero, but just think about how cool it would be.

Carbon capture and storage is the subject of considerable hype – but as it stands, very little CO2 is being captured and stored.
Annual global CO2 emissions from fossil fuels, compared to amount captured and stored. A square chart visually compares total fossil CO2 at 38.1bn to a tiny 0.06bn captured and stored. CCS projects currently capture less than 0.2% of the world's fossil-fuel emissions. Source: IEA, Global Carbon Budget.

🚀🚀 Launching our landmark announcement from NVIDIA, Emerald AI, and America's largest power producers that AI flexibility is the future—and will strengthen the power grid as well as accelerate AI infrastructure deployment!

Here at CERAWeek we're launching our partnership with The AES Corporation, Constellation, Invenergy, NextEra Energy, Inc., Nscale Energy & Power, and Vistra Corp. This group means business — including 5 Fortune 500 companies, ~$5 trillion in market cap, and the 5 leading US independent power producers.

“AI factories are the engines of the intelligence era, and like any great engine, every system must be designed together — energy, compute, networking and cooling as one architecture,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “NVIDIA and Emerald AI are working together to enable a future for AI where performance, efficiency and grid responsiveness can be tapped into immediately.”

We're collaborating to design, build, power, and operate AI Factories that are built to the NVIDIA DSX Reference Architecture, with the DSX Flex capability to operate as flexible grid assets, and harnessing onsite co-located energy resources to deploy AI Factories faster and—critically—accelerate larger and faster grid connections so that onsite energy can swiftly support the grid and local communities rather than stay islanded forever. Last week, Emerald AI announced with NVIDIA that we've integrated with the DSX software architecture, enabling the Emerald Conductor platform to operationalize the DSX Flex capability and orchestrate computational power flexibility alongside onsite energy resources to present maximum flexibility to the power grid.AI Factories belong on the power grid—and they can strengthen it. The result of our collaboration will be faster AI Factory deployment and lower cost of tokens; large sources of anchor revenue and stability for the broader power system; and communities that benefit from the AI revolution.

For more details:

➡️ Read the full announcement from NVIDIA and Emerald AI here: https://lnkd.in/eZ6CjZjY

➡️Check out fantastic coverage from The Wall Street Journal: https://lnkd.in/eWdzt2Bc

➡️Follow up with the excellent article from Axios: https://lnkd.in/e93aetAQ

My sincere gratitude to our incredible partners. We're thrilled to have CEOs of some of the largest US energy companies join this groundbreaking announcement: Jim Burke Joseph Dominguez @John Ketchum Andrés Gluski Michael Polsky Daniel Shapiro.

Vladimir Troy at NVIDIA conceived and spearheaded this entire collaboration and leads the overall NVIDIA DSX ecosystem and vision; here at CERAWeek, Marc Spieler leads an incredible energy delegation; and so many others—thank you, all!
