I need to get this off my chest, and I know you guys are the only ones who will truly understand.

Back in my 20s and 30s, I had amazing friendships. We hit the gym together, went out, partied, had fun, but most importantly, we had deep emotional connections. We were real bros. We drank together, we cried together.

I always suspected that having kids might change things, but the reality turned out to be so much worse than I ever imagined. The people I used to know don't exist anymore. Their physical shells are still here, but their actual souls and personalities are gone.
