Exactly, we all take pleasure in very different things. I think she was just one of those women who volunteer for "good causes" but aren't much good with people, the other lady was pleased I'd enjoyed it.

Well done you. Invariably when I've got hold of a person they've been helpful, but the systems side has been pants. I gave up the tussel with the app after 10 days and it turns out it's like my mum was with formal letters like tax, put it away somewhere out of sight and hope it goes away. 🤬

Yes! At least I got through to a person, albeit one who clearly thinks I'm an idiot. Though I did get a real person on the courier chat who said she'd sorted the address and it would be back out today. And today's other FFS was a useless app that is getting some very negative feedback on the review

I might be able to get it but if they have it probably £20 more. And the supplier has sent out a replacement as they're having to take responsibility for the courier not doing what had been agreed. Elsie's had bad reactions to food so I can't risk changing it.

So now supplier thinks I'm a pain, I think I'm losing it, Elsie has realised that we're down to dust at the bottom of the old bag, until both returns are processed I have over £200 tied up in dog food somewhere in the courier network. Using the Internet has been the bane of my existence today.

I ordered dog food online &not entirely my fault, but I ordered the wrong thing. Now going through the returns process but the replacement order autocorrect ballsed up the auto fill, had convo with courier, should have been out for delivery today, checked, on it's way back to supplier. FFS.

It's probably not that much more expensive for me to travel to it when it goes back home compared to getting to London, and I'd probably need an overnight stay either way. Bet they wouldn't have refunded me for all of that.

Once you know it makes perfect sense. She's also able to cope with us having a double coated dog as we have a strict no dogs upstairs rule, so she has a low dog hair space if she needs it.

I used to watch my mum dust every morning. The stoor would fly up into the air then gradually settle back down and decided it was a complete waste of time. I only do it now with the static cloths to make sure it's worth doing.

I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures of the woven fabrics and art pieces they'd made, they felt very personal. I also missed out the spinners in the post, so examples of lovely raw yarns too.

She got the laser smile and a full bore "there's a great deal to see, some very skilled work, a lot of talent and I only wish I could produce work of that quality". She then asked if I'd actually tried any of the skills to which the answer was yes! all of them, which is why I've enjoyed it.

Popped in to the small local museum/gallery space to see the display by the weavers and dyers group. Lady on the desk was very dismissive, there's hardly anything to see, just a few things on the side of the corridor. When I came back out, she said it again so...

Spending a lot of the next few days cleaning the house as I have a friend coming to stay next week. I'm doing it now as she has asthma and I need to give it time for the dust to literally settle. And for the cleaning stuff to dissipate. I've done far to little over the past few months and it shows 🤨

Water went off as I was cleaning my teeth about to hit the supermarket. Went, added bottled water to the list to cycle the one we have in storage because this happens now and then. Get home, fill kettle with old water, water comes back on. Classic.

I'm not sure it will automatically go to your mum if your dad hasn't made a will. She might have to go though a court process to claim it which could leave her without funds or access to bank accounts while it goes through. Please check for her sake.

Is thereca WRVS group associated with the hospital or in the area. They're pretty good for helping out or might know of some other resources you can pull on. They were really good when I needed to get mum mum to hospital appointments when her memory had gone and I was 250 miles away.
