I went to the destinational shopping experience that's also a garden centre and emptied the Guide Dogs floor collection box that's situated inside the children's play area. Sadly I had to give all the notes back as they don't appear to be legal tender. If only.....

The dress and cardi. Not sure I'd wear them together but good for layering with things I already have. I was however nearly driven to howl at a feature displayed "Vintage" ladies suit, just like the ones I wore for work in the early 90's Feck.

After the morning in Berwick on Tweed we decamped to Spittal sands for lunch and enjoyed the sun and sea breeze. Elsie on the other hand was unimpressed

All the tourist busses go to Melrose Abbey, but I much prefer Dryburgh. It has a peaceful stillness about it set amongst mature trees and by the river, a good place to wander with your thoughts or sit and read.

Tired pup after a day at daycare. When I dropped her off there were two huskies that were on their first day back after 3 weeks holiday and were expressing their unhappiness by going full air raid siren mode.

Today's walk was say hello to the Staffies day. I chose a walk for me rather than Elsie so we had a bimble along the busy bit of the canal, unfortunately the marina cafe was closed so no sausage buttie for lunch 😕

Yes, I have, I've lit the fire. In my defence, we're on clay and this bit of the house only has it's original early Victorian damp proof course so 5 days of rain is enough for it to start feeling cold and damp. It was either this or switch the heating on and have you seen the price of heating oil!

Old pal suggest cafe meet so I walked Elsie along the repurposed railway path nearby. It was empty and quite atmospheric and more importantly, sheltered the diva from the rain. Also scored a dvd of the Rocky Horror Show from the charity table so all in all, a very good morning.

Had hoped to have a walk after dropping Elsie at daycare, but it was already 25° and airless, so home, greenhouse and veg patch watered. Jigsaw has been deployed.

We had a brief run about in the garden, well, Elsie did, I took a stately stroll, for just over 10 minutes. Lounging has recommenced.

This purchase is currently worth it's weight in gold, to me at least. And don't get all smutty on me, my lower back went into spasm and thanks to this bad boy I'm able to walk upright without swearing like a navvy. It's like having a physio on tap, highly recommend.

We have arrived at the cottage. No black lab in sight so I rummage around in the campervan and pulled out this cutie instead. It's a very new development and there are some snagging issues with the cottage that I can work around, but the conservatory is a furnace 🥵

Making sure I've got all the details for my trip printed out and refreshing my memory on the booking. Usually with this agency you get a small welcome basket but it looks like my cottage comes pre loaded with a black lab. Better than some biscuits and tea bags.

Had an impromptu day out at Ironbridge with OH. I've never been before, what a fabulous setting on a sunny day. Low 20's and a breeze so perfect for a wander about, lunch, ice cream then back to collect Elsie from daycare but 29 degrees at home is much less fun.
