Some....fan art? art work inspired by? Stray Kids' Maniac MV/Oddinary cover art. I want to make some one off illustrations using SKZ MVs as inspo. Fairly happy with the end result of this one.

A green skull with neon horns and heart eye, three nails in its head, a graphic arrow flying through its mouth. two orange canary like birds flying around the skull, a traffic light and a license plate reading "maniac" with glitch effects all on a dark purple grid like cube background.

One of my favorite art books to date. Love the cover, and the color printing inside is so unbelievably vibrant. If you love Q's work, it's a must have.

A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.

I'm at the phase of this illustration where I do a lot of "hmm...well....ugh...maybe..." and I hate it ahahahaaa....I also hate how different this image looks on my ipad screen vs computer/phone screens. Anyway. Like, 75% done.

we are losing the "niche" of niche subcultures. I get that capitalism is a bitch and shit just keeps getting more expensive. But can we hold on to our convictions for even one thing.

Yes, yes. YES. If you want to sell fanart, apply to a fan convention. I have no issue with making a living off your own fan merch. But I attend/work indie comics events for INDIE COMICS.

Scenes such as this where the light is reflecting on the water are accomplished through a process called "backlighting", "underlighting" or "bipack glow". To create the effect a matte is cut and light is shone through the holes.

Going to go see Epik High in October. I'd been waffling on it for a bit, but I decided I'd end up regretting it if I didn't. I already expect it's going to be a very fun show.

Also this show is absolutely the funniest shit I've ever watched. I hope they keep it going after the nine episodes they have planned, but I respect it if this is just a fun bit and they move on.

Utena is such an amazing queer anime classic. The art style, the music, the wild ass sword fights. The fact that each sword fight has a bespoke song. Ugh, what a perfect show. I hope you enjoy!

risograph print of Nikaido from Dorohedoro, emerging from the hollowed half of a muscled, masked devil form. Tubes or guts rise tangling to the left, eight lizard heads growing in an arc above. A door hangs in the air, surrounded by drawings of gyoza, a chef knife, coins, a devil tumor, a clock. In the background, an oval of a void; a red horizon fading through green into darkness.
