Funny thing is that this is, apparently, made by a person in the US specialized in creating this sort of thing for every kind of gadget that exists and has rubber buttons. They are _personalized_ for every circuit board, from old phones to handheld consoles. It's... amazing.

Today I ordered a pack of what I can only describe as "self-adhesive plates for the WonderSwan circuit board button contacts". They supposedly help the rubber buttons make contact with the circuit board. The buttons on my console are working fine, but if they could be made better, I'm all in.

I wouldn't doubt the GBColor also had one of those. The screens were very small. I, at least, played my GB almost glued to my face.

I still have my DMG GB and remember magazine ads showcasing light add-ons for it too! And some other stuff that made it look almost like a Transformer, haha.

The emerald lines taking you to the objectives is a letdown, tho, because it removes what could've been a cool part of map exploration. Scarlet Grace is better because you really have to go around and interact with stuff. I wonder if they didn't have the time to create enough content for this game.

You have way more control over the combat in Emerald Beyond than in Scarlet Grace, which is great. However, the story... exists, I guess. The delivery in Scarlet Grace wasn't great (and I didn't finish it to see if it gets better), but it feels more "solidly built" than in Emerald Beyond.

So, if you ever played The Witcher 3 in Brazilian Portuguese, or will play it now for the first time, it was all translated by a team of 7 people, not just me, more than 10 years ago! (There's so much I would do differently now, haha)

Since this is a weird case, I should add: the game still has its original translation from the original release (which I was part of the team!), so I basically revisited a job I did 11 years ago. Daniel was the same: part of the original team, and the translator for the Remastered new lines.

Na fala popular, a gente costuma dizer "alguma coisa" mesmo, quando não tem nada mais apropriado pro contexto. Não é objetivamente errado usar "algo", mas fica um tanto meio... americanizado, eu diria. Inglês é uma língua com expressões bem genéricas e contextuais, já o português, não.

Tá rolando uma tendência forte de tradutor usar "algo" para "something", tipo "did you see something?" vira "você viu algo?", ou "go grab something for yourself" vira "pega algo pra você", ou até "I found something here" acaba como "encontrei algo aqui".

Finally bought SaGa: Emerald Beyond. Hopefully I'll have some time to play it later next week. I'm still playing Metaphor too, but that's so slow-going that I think it will take me some months to finish it. SaGa: EB is, supposedly, shorter, at least in some routes.

I think it's a type of jumping spider. It's less than 1cm in length and I've never seen any webs in the apartment, even tho I've seen some like it here and there every once in a while. Anyway, cool little dude and very chill during the whole thing.

Felt something on my hand and, when I looked, a spider was trying to get inside my jacket. It's 15ºC tonight, so I think the little guy was searching for warmth lol So I went to the balcony, slowly removed the jacket, turned the arm part inside out, and shook it a bit. The spider came out intact.
