Oh man, FF9 was ruined for me. A friend invited me over when it came out. I get to his place and he's grinding jump rope the start of the game. There was apparently an item you could get for doing 1000 jumps minigame. Hours later, I went home after getting too bored. Afaik, he never got it.

Thoughts on Star Fox after a few playthroughs now: - Still fun - Star Wolf's got hands now. It's not that I'm more than 25 years out of practice. Shut up. - some of the voice lines aren't exactly the same, which irks me even if they're delivered better. - Leon isn't French anymore. Sadness

I had a thought about writing an Isekai because it sounds fun. Then I realized I *kind of did with Technosiah, just it's not the main character who got brought to a new world to disrupt everything. Sure, there was no truck involved (all the regrets), but the main mechanic changes are there.
