🚨BREAKING NEWS The Isle of Man has passed its assisted dying law - the first part of these islands to do so. It will be available to those with 12 months or less to live (much better than the six months proposed in Westminster). A big step forward for choice and compassion. Well done IOM! 🎉

"We must tread lightly on people's final moments." Powerful words from @kitmalthouse.bsky.social on why assisted dying must be accessible, compassionate & free from unnecessary stress. A choice, not an ordeal. Watch his speech 👇 #AssistedDying

We’ve been so moved seeing the #FundThePlan videos over the past few weeks. Now, we want to get our call to #FundThePlan out far and wide. Here’s a little something we’ve put together for the campaign. We’d love your help making some noise with it 🙏

The thing about trying to cut PIP by making the assessments harder is that's exactly what the last government tried to do by introducing PIP (replacing DLA) in the first place. And it didn't work - costs went up. So why is this going to work?

ULEZ works. It’s that simple. Expanding the Ultra Low Emission Zone wasn’t a decision I took lightly, but the latest figures show that it was the right one for the health of millions of Londoners.
A graphic with a blue sky background and white clouds. The text reads: "Harmful NO2 levels are estimated to be lower in 2024 compared to a scenario without ULEZ". The reductions are listed as follows: Central London – 54% lower, Inner London – 29% lower, Outer London – 24% lower. A source link at the bottom reads: london.gov.uk/ulez.

One year on from the expansion of the ULEZ in London, we are delighted to see significant progress made in cleaning up the capital’s air! This progress will protect the health of everyone who lives and works in the capital, and future generations of Londoners. 👏 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

NEW: Car manufacturers want to hide the truth about their dirty diesel emissions. Along with MPs, over 50 major charities & organisations and hundreds of individuals, we demand court documents are made public. #Dieselgate #AirPollution

The level of willfully incorrect info in the media about @kimleadbeatermp.bsky.social UK #AssistedDying Bill and its process through Parliament is astonishing. Exhibit A: This article in @thetimes.com by a commentator whose writing I've previously admired: www.thetimes.com/article/eeda...

Opponents of the bill are debating at length amendments that they know will be defeated. There’s a reason for this

🎥 Today we’re launching our #FundThePlan campaign! With over a month until the delivery plan is finalised, ministers can still reconsider the resources behind it.  We want to show them why it is important to #FundThePlan. Share a video on social media using our template ⬇️
“Get Involved! If you are able, please post a video of yourself asking Wes Streeting and Ashley Dalton to #FundThePlan. We have a template you can follow and example videos. Use the hashtag #FundThePlan. Tag Wes, Ashley, #ThereForME.”“Script: Dear Wes & Ashley, My name is [...] and I have ME. I used to [...]. Now I can’t [...] The Delivery Plan for ME is an opportunity to invest in our future and reverse generations of neglect. So please, fund the plan.”

Delighted to see my LD colleague @helenmorganlibdem.bsky.social write in The Times that the forthcoming government Delivery Plan for ME must has ambition, clear targets and resources to make a meaningful difference. As a member of the APPG ME I’ll do what I can. #pwME have waited too long.

Is the assisted dying bill really in danger? Smart take on why we keep hearing that lately: 'Journalists find it more interesting to ask whether the bill is in trouble, even on scant evidence, even if the answer is pretty straightforwardly: Not really, no' @markmardell.bsky.social #AssistedDying

Cars are getting 1cm wider every two years. That may not sound much, but over time it adds up, and they're showing no signs of slowing down 😬 That's #carspreading. Our new campaign is calling on city leaders to make parking policies fairer by varying costs based on the size of a car. Why? 🧵1/8

As someone who was supportive of the so-called 'Ming Vase' strategy for Labour to win power in 2024, it's probably worth saying now that the point of that wasn't supposed to be so you could carry the vase over the same floor for another four years.

it truly is mind boggling the number of times musk has retweeted literal nazi accounts, promulgated nazi theories, done the nazi salute, supported neo-nazi parties around the world, all in plain sight, yet i still haven't seen an article titled: "elon musk is an actual nazi and here's the evidence"
