Finding stuff that straddles the line between measurable and immeasurable is so intriguing. Like “The uncanny valley” or “gut-instincts.” We gained these adoptions because those who have them were more likely to pass on their genetics. But they're also so hard to quantify.

This isn't particularly targeted at anyone lol. I've just noticed how some of my classmates have been parallels between empirical data and spiritual beliefs. And I just think they're getting the wrong idea, they are in two different spheres of understanding. Like apples and oranges, if you will.

That is not at all to say religious people can't make good scientists. They certainly can and do. Because, like any scientist (even an atheist), if they check their biases and work with what is testable and falsifiable, that's what's most important.

Do I know if any higher power exists? No, I really can't know (at least based on my understanding of the world). Because religion is a philosophical debate, something intangible, and science, as a method, deals purely with the tangible or demonstrable.

Science and spiritualism don't mix. Spiritualism / religion generally isn't measurable to science, you cannot make empirical claims based on religion. So trying to infer science into religious validation is farcical. And vice versa.

I know this is purely vibes based, but something about #AI renderings and music feels so... characterless. It just doesn't have those almost imperceptible but massively impactful quirks and flaws of a real artwork. Something just feels human about human art. It feels like it's conveying an emotion.

The rapid expansion of the U.S surveillance state is quite concerning. It's always been there in modern history, we just haven't always known about all of it. But it's getting so much more brazen and obvious. Just think about what we don't know.
