Oh, 💩, that sounds awful! I think my Thyroxine needs to be increased, but my GP is away. Damn meds drive up all nuts! Great things, but sheeeesh, sometimes...

🧵2 is HORRID! 🤣🤣 This! "Prone hip extension - 2x5 RL - Lie face down and squeeze gluteal to lift knee up and foot towards the roof" So you bend your knee at 90⁰ then lift the part from the froin to the knee off the floor. Difficult with stuffed back! Yes, I'll get there, just taking time....

I have a similar issue ensuring I get 1.5 gm of dietary protein per kg of body weight a day. Those of us with inflammatory conditions don't process protein properly, so need more. Thankfully I now have that cost covered by my My Aged Care plan. The EP has given my exercises. One in particular 🧵 1

I've managed this for 10 years by maintaining posterior chain strength, but the deconditioning resulting from all my surgeries & recoveries since December means I am having a battle to regain that posterior chain strength. I'll get there! #ChronicIllness I wrote this, THEN had more surgery! 🫣 🧵 2

I'm sorry I've been quiet. I upset a compressed nerve in my lumber spine while standing doing food prep a couple of wks ago. Have been concentrating on rehab stuff. Walking is fine. Standing is hell, sitting & laying down are not great. Osteopath & exercise physiologist are in full swing. 🧵 1

YES! I remember my physician sister telling me years ago she didn’t believe in ME/CFS because nothing was showing up on tests. What a stupid thing to say. Viral diseases and bacterial infections existed long before those causes were even imagined, let alone able to be tested for.

In other #health news, this coming Wed I have an hours long (not sure how many hours) pre-op appt at the hospital re the kidney stone. Still no date for the actual op! Given the time specified, had to move dental appt. I think this is an "all surgery type template", seems complicated for a stone!
Extract from letter re Wednesday's appt. Weill see: nurse, pharmacist, abaethetics, surical tems and co-ordinator.

As my eyes progress on the recovery journey from the caract surgery, my close vision is steadily improving. I may end up not needing even the magnifiers, I think. ☺️

I honestly think there might be a market out there for manufactured versions, as a lot of eye surgeries happen every year. As I said, IF you try this, be VERY pedantic about getting the seal secure.

Limberation - Limber Up To Live Life @limberation.com · 13/09/2026
Looks terrible but works! I DO NOT recommend doing this unless you have previous experience in taping operated areas of your body in the past. It is tricky to get right, you MUST have the right type of tape, and sealing around the nose is challenging.
Plastic taped over eye to protect it from hair shampoo, conditioner, etc

I'm about to embark on an experiment. I'm not allowed to wash my hair at home to protect the operated eye. I can go to the hairdresser. Having taoed my ankle casts in plastic to shower, I figure I can tape my eye in plastic with the same tape. Will add a pic and update later. Wish me luck! 🤣🤣

Interestingly, my dry eye condition, which prevented me wearing cobtacts all my life, also impact this surgery, so I will have to use hydration drops for life now. But all good! Based on right now, I don't think I'll need reading glasses. Will see as the days go by. #eyes #surgery #ChronicIllness
