In other #health news, this coming Wed I have an hours long (not sure how many hours) pre-op appt at the hospital re the kidney stone. Still no date for the actual op! Given the time specified, had to move dental appt. I think this is an "all surgery type template", seems complicated for a stone!
Extract from letter re Wednesday's appt. Weill see: nurse, pharmacist, abaethetics, surical tems and co-ordinator.

#InvisibleIllness Sometimes we just need a lift! Yesterday I shocked myself - I bought a new liptick. That isn't the shock! The shock was the price. NEVER in my life have I spent $95 on a lipstick. Yesterday I did. Here's my thoughts on Invisible Illness ftom 2022. limberation.com/2022/09/13/w...

Looks terrible but works! I DO NOT recommend doing this unless you have previous experience in taping operated areas of your body in the past. It is tricky to get right, you MUST have the right type of tape, and sealing around the nose is challenging.

Yesterday was rough. Could not see phone screen at all, today is much better. Also the eye was "scratchy", but not painful. This eye is much more bloodshot than the first one, i have attached a pic from yesterday but labelled it so don't look if you are squeamish!

So last night the temporarily cemented-back-in-tooth/crown fell out again. Scored a cacellation slot at 2:45 today, nearly fell over! Not sure they'll try cementing it back in temporarily again, but will see. A bit over the whole teeth complications on top of all the other #ChronicIllness stuff.

Of course, this affects one's body battery! I woke up at a reading of 95 this morning. This has been improving daily since my sinus surgery. Rest is blue, orange is physiological stress. Took 5 years,to find the problem with my sinuses. I am so happy!!! I'm getting decent sleep & oxygen. 🧵 2
Body Battery today. 95 at wake-up, 83 right now.

#ChronicIllness #Sinus This is interesting and I will write an article about it soon. For YEARS I've been complaining to my GP about the physiological stress readings on my Garmin watch. Since I've had the sinus operation, I'm getting GREAT readings! There has to be a link! See the alt-texts! 🧵1
A typical day BEFORE my sinus surgery. Blocking nose at night, lack of oxygen etcYesterday! Lots more blue. Low stress reading for the day. This morning so far.

Slept like a baby last night! Body battery hit 93! Lots of rest (all the blue). Rarely do I get such a great sleep. Sinus surgery for the win! Just keeps getting better! #ChronicIllness #surgery #recovery

It is #MovementAsMedicine bragging time! 😁 At 71, with multiple #ChronicIllness conditions, 1 month after having my sinuses operated on I just walked 1 km of my 2.05 km walk in just 37 seconds slower than my walking pace at 40. At 40 my average pace was 10 mins per km. I'm pretty chuffed! 😊 🧪

This is interesting! The kidney stone med? Is only to be taken by men. The last time I looked, I'm not a man. 😱 I assume there are exceptions to the rule...... #Medsky may I suggest explaining the exception, whatever it is, when prescribing to women!

I agree where he says not just ME. I'm an RA (plus other stuff) patient and my sleep is rarely restorative. I can and do exercise, which helps, but not always. I wear a Garmin watch which tracks sleep, body battery rest and physiological stress. Of course it doesn't know I'm chronically ill!
Body battery was a top of 29 this day. I wasn't climbing Mt Everest at 2 am, I was aslepp! Says non-restorative. This night completely great! Body battery peak 96! Why the difference?Good night of sleep. Score 81.Last night, not good. Score 61. Awake twice, very little REM.

Two days in a row I've achieved my goals, after all this sinus saga! 🎉🎉 Now I'm on a mission! Did I mention my VO² Max has improved by 1 point? At this early stage that's pleasing too. AND the sleep improvement continues! My ENT surgeon has one very happy patient!

YIPPEE!!! #surgery The benefits are starting to show! 🎉 I've not had a body battery reading of 96 for as long as I've been wearing a sports watch. Nor has my Pulse Ox (O² sat) been this high for years! Can't wait to get back to exercise & improve my VO² Max! BP is improving! So happy!! 🏋🏻‍♀️🏊🚶🏻‍♀️💪 🧵1
Woke to a body battery of 96! That has NEVER happened! Well, not since I've been unwell.Pulse Ox reading this morning. Used to hang around 96%. Did get a 100% reading but didn't take a pic, stupidly. Not called O² sat on the watch as not a medical device.

Post-op report! Got home about 5:30 pm yesterday. Nasal passages completely blocked. Blood secretion so wearing nasal bolster (below pic). Then blood started oozing out of right ear duct. This was not mentioned in any paperwork, so rang hospital: happens to some patients. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #surgery #sinuses 🧵 1

#ChronicIllness adventures. My BP's gone weird again so back on BP med. 🤬 This has only happened post surgery, no idea, what's going on. Looks like I'll be doing a 24 hour BP monitor gig. 🙄 Then I have a weird bruise that's appeared out of nowhere, but have been off anti-clot med for 2 weeks now.🤷🏻‍♀️

I am by nature a barefoot person. I knocked my little toe on a wheel of the knee scooter and now have a rather dirty looking bruise. This is a toe I have a screw in (where don't I have screws?🤷🏻‍♀️) so I hope I haven't damaged anything. *sigh*. I broke the nail (scooter again) a couple of days ago.

Now, where was I? Keeping my exercise up! I will point out I could NOT have done this when I had the first ankle done at the end of 2023. My shoulders & wrists were not great: then in 2024 we discovered WHY! (See post below). Now my CRP is 1! 💃 Inflammation under control #ChronicIllness #Surgery

Today's effort! Recording the lower body post-op stuff now as best I can. Garmin doesn't have a seperate exercise (or I can't find it) for lateral straight leg raises. Getting down & up off the floor using arms & 1 leg is a challenge, but managing it! Changing weights is time-consuming, so ⬆️ reps
