The best way to deal with Resident Evil 5-6 being mid to bad and having terrible stories is to absolutely hack them to bits if you really think you need to remake them (you don't, and shouldn't). 5-6 should be massively cut down and anything that isn't directly referenced in 7-9 should be cut.

I barely remember the exact scripts for either game so I'm not sure if it's the original localization or a new one? This is cool but I'd be down for a new translation. Also maybe fixing a the weird bugs in Lufia 2, but that's probably a bit much to hope for.

There's a lot I think is correct about how you can't really easily replicate the visual tricks done with 2d pixel art on retro console games that were designed for CRTs but sorry, some stuff just totally fine or better upscaled. You're never gonna convince me this looks worse than the OG on a CRT.
