I think I'd like to do plein airpril again this year - I did it a couple of times in 2021 and 2022 and it was a lovely way of connecting to my neighbourhood and home. It might be a nice way to get into gouache painting practice again.

A while ago I did some 20 brushstroke landscape studies. I used a splattery rough edged brush with lots of texture in it which gives a bit of an illusion of detail. These kinds of studies are great for learning to slow down with a scene and think about the composition before starting to paint
