I'm just so Obsessed with the ending choreography of "I've Got My Head in the Clouds" (full: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fD4Z... ) how can I bribe fate to make it so Vincent Rodriguez III can star in a Singing in the Rain remake like oh my fucking god

I read "I'll See You At Ebisu Studios" and it is so charming. I looooove stories about making art and especially what goes into animation (the cover/book design is so clever!!), so it wins on that alone, but it also happens to be an extremely charming BL plot that feels so millennial. Def rec.

When I was a kid in California, Channel 5 would run a Twilight Zone marathon every July 4th. I was GLUED to the TV and looked forward to it more than fireworks. I still watch it today. The greatest television show ever made, The Twilight Zone, debuted today October 2, 1959.

i feel like people who grew up on web 2.0 don't realize websites aren't supposed to be social media. they aren't supposed to trap you and keep you on there with constant engagement and interaction. websites are supposed to just Exist as an index or archive for you to look at only as much as desired

i think one of the most crucial media critical thinking skills is being able to identify sarcasm. I don't mean characters being sassy, I mean being able to identify stuff like plot points, tropes, metatext, music choices, art direction, and understand if there's irony intended in it.

when I was younger I would roll my eyes at picking apart stories via allegory and theming instead of experiencing the story as a story. and tbh I still do that because I learned it's not the pretension that bothers me it's if you're bad at being pretentious about your allegories
