It's Banned Books Week. My fellow librarians, listen carefully: your book displays should be almost exclusively writers who are alive. Yes, I know classic literature is also being banned, but most of those authors are dead. They aren't suffering financially from bans and challenges.

The Dome fire in Yosemite keeps slowly chugging along to the north in a little bit to the east. it’s been burning for 19 days now and it’s growth has somewhat been hampered by the granitic composition of the terrain. Crews are now doing structure protection measures at Ostrander Hut.
