You know its fall when Skelly Bone-ita makes an appearance! She stays up until January or February or March. I just keep adding decorations until the entire holiday season is over. (She did not make an appearance last fall. I don’t remember why)

I don’t normally count calories, but i wanted to check my nutrition this week, just to see. (Vacation over, diet reactivation required) The following meal plan averages per day: Calories: 2000 Carbs: 330 g Fat: 25 g Protein: 105 g Fiber: 90 g If i subtract the fiber, the calories drop to 1600.

Breakfast meals (6 servings)
- [ ] Smoothie bowls
- [ ] Banana, silken tofu, red berries, spinach, chia, cereal
- [ ] Banana, pbfit, yogurt, cocoa, blueberries, kale, chia, granola

Lunch/dinner meals (14 servings)
- [ ] Split pea soup & hummus toast (4 servings)
- [ ] Creamy Butternut squash and red pepper soup & avocado toast (4 servings)

- [ ] Stir fry noodles (4 servings)

Home. Super duper fun trip. Spent quite a bit of time watching the kokanee spawn, which will be the subject of an upcoming painting. Collected so many fun leaves. I’m going to use them for a collage. Not sure exactly what yet, though. Moms will be here for the next 3.5 weeks.

This is going to be my setup for collecting and preserving leaves on my trip. I got the tupperware ($6) and the baskets ($1.50) at the dollar store. The baskets are to hold the leaves under the glycerin solution. I’ll store the box in the car for easy access

I should be packing. Instead, i made a page for my art journal. Because its my very first real painting using the sunflower paint and I’m tickled about the whole situation. In all fairness, it was to decide whether i was going to take the sunflower paint with me or not.

The first watercolor paint that i have made myself. Using Sunflowers. I tried using the petals. I’m not sure whether it was the exctraction method or the material. That experiment failed. This was from the middle. I LOVE the color. I can’t wait to see what other colors i can get.

I am oog. Out of green. I am leaving in a few days for autumn camping trip. Which means there is no time to order more green. Which means i have to buy a new brand of green from the art store. Drama. Watercolor paints are fickle and have character. Takes a while to build trust.

Grieving today. An ex-lover who i adored, but whose drinking problem interfered with our friendship. I texted him on July 4th to remind him that there were people waiting for him on the other side of recovery if he ever wanted out. He did not make it out. And my heart hurts.

The kids all have strep throat. I have thoroughly prepared for sick kid seasons, fortunately. Of course, they are on antibiotics, we aren’t anti-science. But I’m also brewing a support tea of thyme, oregano, and yarrow. And I’ve got a batch of elderflower honey.

I just spent $150 for me and the dog (who eats real food, not dog food) at the grocery store for one weeks worth of groceries. My junk food was $20. The rest was fruits, vegetables, beans and grains. Didn’t even buy nuts this week. So yeah, its no surprise the feds raised the interest rate.

I now subsist entirely on apple chips. The giant cosmic crisps on sale at Winco make the best apple chips I’ve ever eaten. Slice on the mandolin, into the dehydrator, 160 for 10 hours. One apple is two trays. You will need all the trays. Because you will eat all the apples.
