If nothing else i hope they use the Skyfall theme song and just put a recording of Adele saying 'whale' over every mention of 'sky'

Is the fact he didn't just sit back and wait for the whale to crap him out symptomatic of the ADHD contagion? Me for the Telegraph

Say what you want about the concept behind 'whalefall' but you have to admit it's impressive they managed to set up such good lighting inside that whale

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

When Badenoch declared "the era of peace is over" my first thought was that she sounded like a cartoon villain, making their pronouncements from Skull Island, so it's actually quite reassuring to see she doesn't actually know how to kill us all. Like watching Blofeld struggling to find his keys

Every time I see a serial killer tv show advertised I think of this
My dad used to work with Ted Bundy at the University of Utah and every Friday my dad would say, "See ya Monday-Bundy" and I can't imagine how much Ted actually thought about murdering him for
it.

It really gives the game away when the anti trans orgs are calling the election of the neo nazi party in Germany a "glimmer of hope."
A screenshot of an online article headline from "Inspecting Gender" by Genspect. The main heading reads: "Germany: A Glimmer of Hope for Sex Realists?" Below the title, the summary text asks: "Is the victory of the AfD in Germany a dark day for democracy or a glimmer of hope for sex realists? By David Allison." The bottom metadata displays the Genspect logo, "5 hours ago," and a "Listen" audio option button. In the top right corner, there is a teal "Subscribe" button alongside a circular profile avatar.

This is only true if they only build *a few* nuclear submarines. Flood the market and the price would drop significantly - that's basic supply and demand economics - allowing us to all own a nuclear submarine.

Ballpoint pen on paper. A man in his PJs is tucked into his bed. He's upset because the bed has been lifted off the ground by a pack of small, mischievous creatures. We can only see 9 of them in the image but there are likely many more since they're all working together to lift the heavy bed frame. As the creatures run with the bed they chant, "hup hup hup hup hup hup hup hup hup." The man in the bed wants no part of this. "Put me down. No more hups," he says. It's unclear where they are going or what is happening. There is no punchline. There is little to no context. You're either with the hup team or you're out. Thank you for reading these.

On 1, in Edinburgh at least, Uber drivers often don't let you in with a toddler (don't have the special seat). Black cabs are always much more helpful

My 1st job was in a WHSmith bookshop in Fife. In the morning I'd collect books from the shop, based on a list produced each day, & pack them in boxes. Then at lunch a lorry would arrive with new books. We'd take the new ones out & put the old ones in. They were the same books. It did affect me, yes.

Update: today she said we were going ice skating. This already raised flags, because where would she get the money, if she's unemployed? It then turned out we were just going to another room & 'skating' around on the dog's bed. I'm so worried about what this absence of structure is doing to her mind

Before that it was a restaurant but there wasn't even any real food. It was all completely delusional. Is it social media that has done this?? In my day if a toddler said they'd make you a pizza then they would make you a pizza, not just cackle and tell you about their belly button.

I try to put on a brave face on here because I want to project success, but the truth is that watching my daughter go almost three years without work has had a huge impact on my family. She isn't even looking. Yesterday she said she'd opened an ice cream shop but of course it was all lies.

People will dismiss Malcolm Offord claiming that more than half of Scots are unemployed, but as the parent of a child out of work I really think it's serious. My daughter's been unemployed for almost three years and it's been really hard. There are so many barriers for toddlers getting into work!

As far as violence against women and girls is concerned, the Programme for Government amounts to the misogyny bill they refused to do last session, a public health campaign, and support services being told to wait until Budget time to see what apparent funding commitments look like in reality.

There's a tv show where they say they "make the impossible possible". Unfortunately the two year old has got this mixed up and started pleasantly announcing "its time to make the possible impossible!" Seems oddly apt.

I'm really sorry to hear that. If there are kids involved you'd hope children's legislation would offer a means of bypassing home office restrictions, but I'm aware that often won't be the case in reality. If anyone ever wanted to talk about their experience for an article I'd be happy to chat
